ACCRA, Ghana — Thousands of Christians from Ghana and around the world are expected to gather this evening as Pastor Mensa Otabil, Founder and General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), officially opens the Greater Works Conference 2026 with a special Communion Service.
The opening service marks the beginning of the five-day international Christian conference, widely regarded as one of Africa’s premier gatherings for biblical teaching, leadership development, and spiritual renewal. The conference runs from Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7, 2026, at the ICGC Christ Temple East (CTE), Teshie, Accra, with the opening session scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
Hosted annually by Pastor Mensa Otabil, Greater Works attracts worshippers, church leaders, professionals, students, and visitors from several countries who come to receive practical biblical teaching and spiritual impartation. Morning sessions will take place from Tuesday through Friday, while the conference will conclude on Friday evening with a special Anointing Service led by Pastor Otabil.
This year’s conference will also feature internationally respected ministers, including Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, and Bishop Tudor Bismark, who are expected to minister during various sessions throughout the week.
The Communion Service is expected to set the spiritual tone for the conference, focusing participants on Christ’s finished work while preparing them for a week of worship, biblical exposition, leadership insights, and personal transformation.
