Introduction

Trouble Can Become the Platform for God’s Glory

He reminded believers that instead of merely asking, “Why is this happening to me?” they should seek God’s purpose in every trial. Rest While God Works
One of the sermon’s most memorable lessons was Peter’s remarkable peace. Despite facing imminent death, Peter slept soundly. Pastor Adefarasin explained that genuine faith produces rest because it trusts God’s sovereignty.
He powerfully stated, “When you sleep, God’s system goes to work. When you try to do it in your own strength, God’s system goes to sleep.” Believers were encouraged to replace fear, anxiety and panic with confident dependence on God, knowing that He continues working even when they cannot see immediate results.
God Opens Doors No One Else Can Open
The preacher highlighted the supernatural sequence of Peter’s deliverance. God sent an angel, Peter’s chains fell off, prison doors opened automatically and even the massive iron gate swung open without human effort.
These miraculous events demonstrated that God specializes in creating opportunities beyond human ability. Yet Peter still had responsibilities—he had to get dressed, walk out of prison and later knock on the door of the prayer meeting. Pastor Adefarasin emphasized that divine grace never eliminates personal obedience. As he explained, “God opens doors that you can’t open, but the doors you can open, He insists that you must open them.”
What You’ve Been Praying For Is Already at the Door
The climax of the message focused on Rhoda’s announcement that Peter stood outside while the church was still praying. Pastor Adefarasin used this moment as a prophetic declaration over the congregation, boldly proclaiming, “What you’ve been praying for is at the door.”
He encouraged believers to expect God’s answers, recognise divine opportunities and act in faith when those opportunities appear. Rather than remaining trapped in doubt, Christians should embrace the new season God is unfolding before them.
Conclusion
Pastor Paul Adefarasin’s message reminded believers that God’s purposes are never defeated by adversity. Trials may be intense, but God’s intervention is always greater.
As believers trust Him, cooperate with His grace and faithfully obey His leading, they can confidently expect supernatural breakthroughs. The God who delivered Peter still opens impossible doors, sends divine help and brings long-awaited answers to those who remain steadfast in faith.
